Pella Platinum Certified Contractor
Window replacement in Erie, Colorado.
Erie grew from a coal-mining town on Briggs Street into a fast-growing community between Boulder and I-25, and its windows cover the full range: century-old Old Town houses, established subdivisions now due for their first replacement, and brand-new builds. KV Windows is a veteran-owned, Pella Platinum Certified Contractor based in Westminster, serving Erie homes on both the Boulder County and Weld County sides of County Line Road.

Old Town roots, new-build neighborhoods.
Erie’s original town was platted in 1871 after the Briggs Mine opened, and the blocks around Briggs Street and Coal Creek Park still hold some of its oldest homes. Decades of additions and remodels mean Old Town window openings are rarely standard sizes, so we measure every opening on site instead of ordering by assumption.
Most of Erie is much newer. Vista Ridge grew up around Colorado National Golf Club off Vista Parkway; Erie Commons, Grandview and Vista Pointe line the Coal Creek corridor; Colliers Hill sits across the creek from Old Town; and Westerly and the Erie Parkway corridor are still filling in. Homes from the town’s earlier subdivision waves are reaching the age where original windows show it: fogged glass, failed seals and sashes that stick after years of Front Range sun.
Many Erie neighborhoods also have an HOA or design review. If you are changing frame color, grille pattern or window style, check your HOA’s requirements first. We’ll give you the product details a typical design-review submission asks for.

What we do in Erie.
Whole-home and partial window replacement, glass-only repairs when the frame is sound, entry and patio doors, hail and storm restoration, exterior painting, and commercial glass for Erie businesses.
Residential window replacement
Replacement windows for Erie homes of every age, from Old Town originals to 2000s subdivision builds, installed by our own certified crew.
Replacement windowsWindow glass replacement
A fogged unit in an otherwise solid frame can often be fixed with new insulated glass instead of a whole new window.
Glass replacementEntry & patio doors
Patio and sliding doors that open onto Erie’s backyards, open space and trail edges, matched to your new windows.
Patio doorsHail & storm damage
Documentation, estimates and restoration after storms roll off the foothills and across the plains.
Storm damageExterior painting

Exterior paintingCommercial windows & glass

Commercial servicesCommon Erie window projects.
Erie’s mix of eras means the right recommendation changes from one neighborhood to the next.
First-generation subdivision windows
Vinyl windows from Erie’s earlier subdivisions are often the original builder units. When several have fogged or stopped sealing, whole-home replacement usually makes more sense than chasing one window at a time.
West-facing view walls
Many Erie homes are oriented toward the foothill views, which means large west-facing glass and strong afternoon sun. The glass package matters as much as the frame.
Materials & glassGreat rooms & tall glass
Two-story great rooms, transoms and stacked picture windows are common in newer floor plans. We measure and plan the large and high units carefully.
Picture windowsOld Town character homes
Older homes near Briggs Street can have out-of-square openings and layers of past remodels. We assess each opening before recommending an insert or a full-frame replacement.
Window stylesErie weather doesn’t go easy on windows.
Erie sits on open ground east of the foothills, where spring and summer hail and strong west winds both come through. After a storm, we document window and exterior damage, write a detailed estimate and coordinate with your insurance adjuster when a claim is part of the project.
We’ll tell you plainly what needs replacing and what doesn’t.
Insurance claim assistance
We can assist with:
- Storm damage documentation
- Detailed repair estimates
- Property inspections
- Coordination with insurance adjusters
- Communication throughout the restoration
Common signs of hail & window damage
After severe weather, watch for:
- Cracked or broken windows
- Broken window seals
- Moisture between panes
- Drafts around windows
- Water leaks
- Visible impact marks
- Chipped or peeling paint
- Loose exterior trim
If you see any of these, schedule an inspection before the next storm or a hard freeze makes it worse.

Window replacement in WestminsterErie window replacement FAQ.
Answers to the questions we hear most from Erie homeowners and businesses.
Do you serve both the Boulder County and Weld County parts of Erie?
Yes. We work throughout Erie on both sides of County Line Road, from Old Town and Colliers Hill to Vista Ridge and the newer neighborhoods along Erie Parkway.
My Erie home has an HOA. Can I change my window color or style?
Often yes, but many Erie HOAs require design-review approval for exterior changes like frame color or grille patterns. Check your HOA’s rules first. We’ll provide the product details you need for the submission.
A few of our windows are fogging. Do we need all new windows?
Not always. If the frames are sound, replacing just the insulated glass may work. If several windows in a subdivision-era home are failing, whole-home replacement is often the better value. We’ll show you both options.
Do you install Pella windows in Erie?
Yes. KV Windows is a Pella Platinum Certified Contractor with certified installers. We’ll go over which Pella lines and styles fit your home during the free estimate.
